Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our services? You're in the right place!

Many people assume a Financial Adviser is only needed if you are wealthy. Key moments to consider advice include starting a new job, receiving a salary increase, buying a home, starting a family or approaching retirement.

You don't need to have a large amount of money to benefit. In fact, getting Financial Advice earlier can help you avoid costly mistakes and build better habits. Another trigger is complexity, if your finances feel overwhelming, multiple accounts, investments or tax considerations, it may be time to seek guidance.

A Financial Adviser helps individuals, families and business owners make informed decisions about their money to achieve long-term goals. This includes everything from budgeting and investing to superannuation, retirement planning, tax minimisation and personal insurance (Life, Total & Permanent Disablement, Critical Illness and Income Protection).

Rather than focusing on a single area, a Financial Adviser looks at your entire financial situation holistically, assessing your income, expenses, assets, liabilities and goals to create a financial plan. Most importantly, a great Financial Adviser provides ongoing support about strategy, not product, as your life changes, your strategy should evolve too.

It's simply a chance for us to understand what you are looking for and explain how Finiety Wealth works. If there's a fit, we'll outline what the next step looks like. There's no obligation and no advice given.

That's perfectly okay and very common. Most people come to us knowing something needs to change but not exactly what. Part of our process involves exploring your values, passions, and aspirations to help you gain clarity on your goals. Together, we'll uncover where you are, where you want to go, and what's standing in the way.

Once we understand your situation, your goals and your needs, we will prepare a Statement of Advice (SOA), which is a formal written document that outlines all our recommendations and rationale. You'll have the opportunity to review everything in detail before making any decisions.

No, we will manage the applications, paperwork and required changes to ensure that your advice is implemented correctly.

Our initial advice fees range from $2,970 to $8,800 (inc. GST), depending on the complexity of your situation and which of our packages best fits your needs. We'll confirm the exact fee with you upfront before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises.

No, ongoing service is optional, not compulsory. If you choose to continue working with us after your initial advice is implemented, there is an ongoing fee calculated as a percentage of the funds we manage on your behalf. This is always disclosed to you upfront, and it's entirely your choice whether to continue.

Financial Advice can add significant value by helping you avoid costly mistakes, optimise your strategy and structures, and ensure you stay on track to meet your financial goals. The discovery session is designed for us to show you how much value you receive by engaging in our services so you will have an understanding as to what you're getting before you proceed with our services.
